Mandapeta, Andhra Pradesh: Community participation has the power to transform lives, and Smiley Children Society is demonstrating this through its sustained efforts to improve educational access for children from underserved communities across Andhra Pradesh. Founded on January 19, 2019, by Prudhvi Moses, the organization has steadily built a reputation for implementing grassroots initiatives that place education and child welfare at the center of social development.
Headquartered in Mandapeta, with branch offices in Angara (East Godavari District) and Pothavaram (West Godavari District), Smiley Children Society works alongside schools, local authorities, volunteers, and families to ensure that every child has the opportunity to receive a quality education.
One of the organization’s flagship initiatives involves assisting children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds with admission into government schools. Volunteers conduct door-to-door awareness campaigns, identify children who are not enrolled in school, help parents complete necessary documentation, and coordinate directly with school administrations to facilitate hassle-free admissions.

These efforts have been recognized by Headmaster Swamy Narayan, who praised the volunteers for making the enrollment process easier for families while encouraging more children to begin their educational journey.
“Our volunteers are the strength of this movement. Their dedication allows us to reach families that may otherwise struggle to access educational opportunities. Every child admitted to school represents another step toward a stronger and more educated society,” said Founder Prudhvi Moses.
In addition to school enrollment drives, Smiley Children Society conducts free evening tuition classes for students requiring academic support. The program includes free dinner for participating children, ensuring that both educational and nutritional needs are addressed simultaneously.
The organization also advocates for innovation in early childhood education. During educational programs and community events, Prudhvi Moses has encouraged Anganwadi centers and schools to adopt creative teaching practices that make learning interactive, enjoyable, and development-oriented. Smiley Children Society regularly supports such efforts by donating educational materials, classroom resources, and learning equipment to institutions that embrace child-centric teaching methods.

Looking ahead, the organization aims to expand its volunteer network and strengthen partnerships with educational institutions to reach even more children across rural Andhra Pradesh.
Through consistent community engagement, educational support, and a commitment to inclusive development, Smiley Children Society continues to demonstrate how collective action can create lasting opportunities for children and contribute to a more educated and empowered future.
